About this Event
During this short workshop you will have the opportunity to learn basic glass cutting techniques, receive a brief overview of the glass fusing process and the different types of glass you will be using to make your own unique coaster or small picture.
All tools and materials will be provided and your lovely coaster/picture will be kiln fired after the session and returned to the library for collection the following week.
Please wear closed shoes and bring your reading glasses if you need them for close work.
This is a small class so you will receive lots of support if you need it.
PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AGED OVER 14 YEARS. If participant under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who will stay on site during the workshop.

Catherine Lowe makes glass artefacts using a range of hot and cold glass techniques to produce jewellery, vessel, plates, awards and painted glass panels.
She is inspired by art deco, nature and Scotland’s natural light effects, buildings and fantastic landscapes.
